Rated 3 out of 5 by Kelly from Nice scent, but I didn't see any textural hair improvements I'm always hoping to find a new holy Grail product for my hair, and have heard people talk about rinsing their hair with rice water to improve the texture, so was excited to try to this Shu Uemura strengthening tonic. After sampling it, I don't think it's for me, but maybe it would be more beneficial for a different hair type. I liberally spray my hair with it after towel drying for 2 weeks. The treatment has a nice light scent, faintly clean powdery - distant memories of Loves Babysoft spray, if you know what that smelled like. I didn't notice any improvement after 2 weeks of use, and feel like the ends of my hair aren't as soft as they are when I used one of my other typical leave in hair products. The hair near my scalp feels dirtier more quickly, and makes me want to wash my hair one day sooner than I otherwise would. I can't say for certain that the tonic treatment isn't making my hair strands stronger in the long run, but as far as day to day texture and appearance goes, this product was a miss for me.

I recently discovered Shu Uemura's Izumi Tonic Strengthening Energizing Water, and it has truly transformed into a favorite in my hair care routine! I love how easy and quick it is to apply, a few sprays throughout my hair nourishes and hydrates my curls perfectly, leaving them wonderfully moisturized and looking their best. My curls have never looked better: full, thick, and shiny with a healthy bounce. It doesn't didn't make my hair look greasy or weigh down my curls at all. The fresh, citrusy scent is delightful—not too overpowering, just the right amount of zest to brighten up my day.
