Step 1On dry hair, prep with sheer lacquer, applying mid-lengths to ends then use the shu uemura paddle brush throughout.
Step 2Curl the hair using medium to large sections, with 1 inch curling iron.
Step 3Section away the front - top pieces; pulling both to the center back, and tie together with a clear elastic. Apply a second elastic about 1 inch below the first.
Step 4Take a small ribbon-sized section of hair from underneath the first elastic. This section will be wrapped around to cover both elastics. Before wrapping, apply a pea-sized amount of shape paste to the ribbon section and then wrap it around the little ponytail covering both elastics.
Step 5To secure the end of the hair ribbon, use a clear elastic on the very end. Then take an open bobby pin, place it just above that elastic, then push it through the back side of the ribbon of hair, combining it to the first two elastics on the backside of the pony tail. Use 1 pump of essence absolue to break up curls and to give a soft finish.
get the work in
Step 1Prep dry or damp hair with wonder worker. Brush hair from roots to ends with the shu uemura paddle brush for even saturation. Blow dry the hair to silky smooth finish.
Step 2Brush all hair back towards the nape of the neck. With a hairband, securely pull hair into a tight, low ponytail. Create a hole in the hair just above the base of the ponytail and bring up and over into itself and tie a second hairband around the shaft of the pony. Spray the mid lengths and ends with texture wave. Brush with the shu uemura paddle brush and spray texture wave as needed depending on density and hair type.
Step 3Divide the ponytail into 3 equally dense sections and braid the ponytail into a 3-strand braid. Secure the end with an elastic.
Step 4From the end of the braid, bring up and thread through the base of the ponytail. Depending on the length, you may need to do this twice. Secure with hairpins.

Step 4Brush the remaining hair on each side and back up to each braid, maintaining the center part and secure with another elastic on both sides.
Step 5Finish with a veil of sheer laquer all over!

Step 1Prep damp hair with wonder worker and blow dry smooth. Spray sheer lacquer on each section and curl the hair with a 1 inch iron away from the face on some section and toward the face on others. This will give a more tousled effect.
Step 2Section the back of the head by going from ear to ear and over the crown. The front right and left sections of hair are left out. Pull the back section of hair into a low ponytail. Loosen hair near the crown to add texture and spray with texture wave.
Step 3Moving to the front 2 sections on the left and right. Twist the left section back to the ponytail, wrap the hair around the base of the ponytail, and pin to secure. Repeat the same instruction on the right side.
Step 4Pull pieces along left and right twist to expand the shape and add texture to give the look a softer yet edgier feel.
Step 5Run flat iron over mid-lengths and ends for a more modern finish. Blast texture wave over ponytail to rough-up texture. Use one pump of essence absolue in palms and accent ends of hair with definition and separation.
